Over 3.5 million people in the UK go through some kind of fertility challenge. The cost of one round of IVF can cost more than $15,000 per round. Adoption just as much. In all of these cases, there is no guarantee that spending the money will result in having a child. Since infertility is rarely covered by insurance providers, couples will either forego becoming parents, take out second mortgages, or take out high interest rate loans. Infertility has also been a topic that people have been afraid to talk about, which results in domestic abuse, loneliness, sadness, and depression.
